Q. Who is Baode Home Delivery?
A. We are a small branch of a company that imports and distributes gourmet food and wine to 5 star hotels and high end restaurants throughout China since 2001. Chances are you’ve already eaten our steak, ribs, or seafood at your favorite restaurant or hotel already.
After years of requests, we’ve formally started this retail branch so you may enjoy these fine products at home in Beijing and Shanghai. We pride ourselves in our products and only import the safest food of the highest quality.

VIP Card
Q. How does the VIP card work for home delivery of imported groceries in Beijing and Shanghai?
A. When making a purchase with your VIP card, the card reader deducts 10% off the sale for extra savings. If you plan on regularly ordering steak, ribs, seafood, wine, sea salt or even extra virgin olive oil from us, you should request one with your next purchase.
Q. How do I charge and pay for imported groceries with my VIP card?
A. The VIP card acts just like a debit card.
You have the option to use it the same way you’d pay for each individual orders in cash or with your credit card. However, many regular customers prefer to pre-charge the card for future purchases of steak, ribs, seafood and wine for sake of convenience – this also allows other people such as housekeepers to receive and pay for orders while you are out.
The card requires a balance greater or equal to the original cost of the order (before 10% discount is applied) in order to function. Any remaining funds can be put towards your next order or refunded upon request.

Q. Do you accept domestic credit cards for purchasing imported food and wine?
A. Yes, our home delivery teams in Beijing and Shanghai both accept domestic credit cards.
Q. Do you accept foreign credit cards for purchasing imported food and wine?
A. We accept Visa and Master Card.
Ordering
Q. When can I order this imported food and wine?
A. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm with special exceptions during national holidays. Orders may be processed over the phone during those hours. Any orders made online during office hours will be processed promptly while any online orders made during off hours will be processed during the next available working hours
Deliveries
Q. Can you deliver this imported food and wine today?
A. We can only do next day home deliveries of imported food and wine in Beijing and Shanghai.
Q. When can I have my imported food and wine delivered?
A. Most orders can be delivered the day after processing. Other than during national holidays, delivery is available 7 days a week from 10 am to 8 pm.
Q. Can you deliver my imported food and wine at this exact time?
A. We will give a 2 hour time window during which time the delivery will arrive. While we are often able to deliver at your desired time and location, it is not always possible given volume of orders and traffic congestion. Delivery time priority comes on a “first come, first served” basis and you will be contacted in the event we are unable to deliver at your specified time with your order confirmation email.
Q. I’m throwing a dinner party soon, when should I schedule home delivery for my imported food and wine?
A. Please plan to allow your food to defrost in your refrigerator overnight to ensure top quality.
As quality of many of our products suffers when defrosted in the microwave and other quick methods, we highly recommend scheduling delivery at least 1 full day before intended use to allow quality preservation by defrosting overnight in the refrigerator. Slow defrosting is essential to preserve the quality of our steak.
Q. How can I qualify for free delivery for premium and imported food and wine in Shanghai?
A. In Shanghai, you need to order at least 300 RMB worth of products for free delivery if delivery location is inside the Middle Ring Road （中环内）. If the delivery location is outside the Middle Ring Road but within the A20 (外环内) then the minimum for free delivery is 500RMB. If the delivery location is outside the A20(外环外), the delivery fee is 30RMB for the order lower than 500RMB, or 50RMB for the order lower than 300RMB, the minimum for free delivery is 1000RMB. Districts not yet included in the delivery area: Baoshan, Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian and Nanhui districts.
Q. How can I qualify for free delivery for premium and imported food and wine in Beijing?
A. In Beijing, deliveries to locations inside the 5th Ring Road (五环内) and Shunyi (顺义） will be delivered for free if the order amount exceeds 500 RMB.
We also sell organic eggs on behalf of the Bethel Foundation. Any order including the eggs in Beijing will qualify for free delivery.
Q. What is the delivery fee for premium and imported food and wine in Beijing and Shaghai?
A. The delivery fee is 30 RMB for orders below the minimum amount or for locations outside the free delivery zone.
